The solution to problematic stagnant fuel in low usage tanks
Fuel left sitting in a tank for long periods of time is susceptible to "diesel bug", which can result in costly machinery downtime. For generator back up tanks that are not regularly used, but needed in emergency power situations, this is not a risk that can be taken.
This is where the CTS Fuel Conditioner is needed.
The increasing bio-content in today’s diesel means that the fuel in storage tanks often contains problematic water levels. For tanks that are used daily, the fuel is regularly circulated meaning that contaminants can usually be dealt with by normal filters.
However, when fuel sits stagnant for long periods of time like in generator back up tanks, the water sinks to the bottom and microbial growth known as “diesel bug” begins to develop. This sludge can subsequently block filters, damage pumps, and get sucked into machinery causing equipment failure and costly downtime.
The CTS fuel conditioner is designed to prevent fuel from sitting stagnant and the bugs in fuel from settling. It draws the fuel up from the front of the tank through the magnetic conditioner, which stuns any bugs, breaking them down into a size that will pass through a two stage water and particle filtration process to remove any impurities.
The cleaner fuel is then circulated back into the storage tank, before the bugs have been able to group and create the nasty sludge that damages equipment and can cause a generator or engine to fail.
Controlled by an adjustable timer set as standard to circulate fuel 1.5 x tank capacity every 28 days to prevent diesel bug growth.
Stuns the "diesel bugs", breaking down any bacteria growth down to a size that will pass through the filters.
30 micron water/particle filter and 5 micron final finishing filter with clear bowls to view and drain the removed impurities.
Detects when one of the filters gets full and fuel cannot pass through and turns off the pump until the filter is replaced.
Large, coloured lights for diagnosing a filter blockage, low level or fault scenario, with 2 x output connections for remote warning.
For the connection of a level device that will turn the pump off when there is a low fuel level detected to prevent dry running damage.
